Terms
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms cover your use of OpenCal at opencal.link. Compound Labs runs OpenCal. Compound Labs is Isaiah Kim's independent product R&D lab. By signing in, you agree to these terms. The privacy policy explains what OpenCal stores and how to delete it.
The service
- OpenCal is free. There are no paid plans and no fees.
- OpenCal is not open source. The software and the site belong to Compound Labs.
- OpenCal can change or stop. You can download your data in Settings at any time.
Your account and your link
- You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account that you are allowed to use.
- You choose which calendars count as busy. Your link shows free time only from those calendars, inside your working hours.
- You are responsible for the link you share and for the meetings people book on it.
- When you change your link, the old link stays reserved to you and sends visitors to the new one.
Booking
- You must sign in to book. The person you book receives your name and the confirmed email address of the account you signed in with.
- A booking needs at least 2 hours of notice, unless the link owner sets a different notice.
- OpenCal checks the owner's calendars again before each booking. If two people pick the same time, only the first booking goes through.
What you must not do
- Book times you do not plan to keep, or use booking to send unwanted invites.
- Try to read another person's calendar data, sign in as someone else, or get around the rate limits.
- Scrape the site, overload it, or use it to break the law.
Compound Labs can suspend a link or account that does these things.
No warranty
OpenCal is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Free times depend on what your calendars return: Google, Microsoft, iCloud, feed links, the browser extension and calendars read from your screen. If a calendar cannot be read, OpenCal shows no times rather than guessing, and your link can be unavailable until the calendar can be read again. To the extent the law allows, Compound Labs is not liable for missed, double-booked or wrongly scheduled meetings, or for any indirect loss from using OpenCal.
Ending your use
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. Deletion is permanent.
