Combine work and personal calendar availability
Google Calendar and the iPhone Calendar app can show a work calendar and a personal calendar side by side. That view is for you. OpenCal reads both calendars and gives other people one link that shows the times you are free in both.
How do I combine my work and personal Google calendars?
In Google Calendar, you can share the work calendar with your personal Google account, or you can connect both accounts to OpenCal. To share the calendar, open Settings and sharing, click Shared with, click Add people and groups, add the other address, choose a permission, and click Send. Google says: “If your calendar is for your work or school, your administrator decides if you can share it.” Google Calendar Help: Share your calendar, fetched October 8, 2026.
How do I see work and personal calendars together on iPhone?
The iPhone Calendar app shows several calendars at once when you select them in the calendar list. To select calendars, open Calendar, tap the calendars button, and select the calendars you want to view. Apple also lets you add a read-only calendar with Add Subscription Calendar and the address of an .ics file. This view shows the calendars only on your phone. Does a Google booking page check both my work and personal calendars?
Google lists checking availability across several calendars as a premium appointment schedule feature, and OpenCal checks several calendars for free. Google says: “With a personal Google Account or Workspace Business Starter plan, you can create a single booking page to let others schedule appointments on your calendar.” Google's premium chart lists “Check availability across multiple calendars” among the features that need an eligible Google Workspace or Google One subscription. How does OpenCal combine work and personal availability?
OpenCal reads the busy times from every calendar you connect and shows the time that is free in all of them on one link. You can connect several Google accounts, personal and work Microsoft accounts, and one iCloud account. In Settings, you choose which calendars count as busy. OpenCal starts from the days and hours you set, then removes busy time and your buffer. Events marked free, canceled events, and declined events do not block time. Tentative events count as busy.
How does OpenCal handle a work calendar when my company blocks outside apps?
OpenCal can add a blocked work calendar through Settings, Other calendars. Read from screen reads the Teams or Outlook desktop app week view. You press it and pick the window each time your week changes, and the screenshot never leaves your browser. The OpenCal Sync extension for Chrome and Edge reads Outlook on the web and syncs every 15 minutes while the browser is open. A private .ics calendar feed address also works.
Does the person I send the link to see my personal events?
The person who receives the link sees only open times. OpenCal never asks Google, Microsoft, or iCloud for event titles, descriptions, locations, or guests.
What does it cost?
OpenCal is free.
