OpenCal vs Calendly's free plan
Calendly's free plan connects one calendar. OpenCal is free and counts every calendar you connect as busy. This page compares the two for one person who shares a link. Calendly's terms come from its pricing and help pages, fetched October 8, 2026.
Is OpenCal a free alternative to Calendly with multiple calendars?
Yes. OpenCal is free, and every calendar you connect counts as busy. Calendly's pricing page lists "One calendar connection" for the free plan and "Connect multiple calendars" for its paid Standard plan at $10 per seat per month, billed monthly.
What does OpenCal do that Calendly's free plan does not?
OpenCal checks all your Google, Microsoft and iCloud calendars at no cost. It reads a company Teams calendar from your own screen when your company does not let outside apps connect. A visitor who signs in with Google or Microsoft sees only the times that work for both of you.
When does Calendly fit better?
Calendly provides shared team scheduling through its Teams and Enterprise plans. OpenCal has no team features. OpenCal sends no email itself. If you need invites without connecting a Google or Outlook calendar for bookings, OpenCal saves the booking only in OpenCal.
What does switching from Calendly to OpenCal involve?
You sign in to OpenCal with Google or Microsoft and choose which calendars count as busy. You add your other accounts and, if needed, read your Teams week from your screen. You set your hours and time zone, then send your OpenCal link where you sent your Calendly link. To have bookings land on your calendar with an invite, you turn on adding bookings to Google or Outlook in Settings, under Booking.
